Timothy is a small tree that lives with its relatives in a grove of yellow ipe. While the other trees can see the city and the horizon, he sees only their trunk. One day, however, Timothy sees in front of him an empty field beginning to form as the trees are being felled by a contractor who will build a condominium of houses.

Timothy decides to do something to prevent the destruction from continuing and, to do so, breaks tree rule # 1: never talk to humans. He asks for help from Zeca, a boy who walks around daily with his dog Nina. Zeca puts Timothy in a pot and set off on an adventure to save the remaining trees. Ane, a classmate from school, joins them on this journey.

When all seems lost and the forest is almost completely destroyed, the children finally get the attention of the residents and the contractor to stop deforestation. A new space for tree replanting is defined and Timothy is the first tree to be planted in it.
